Created in response to a visit back home to Bulgaria, the zine was constructed using original text—written as a reflection on the town of Gramada—and photos that were shot on a disposable camera. Found images from old photo albums were scanned in and dated with handwritten numbers. The project highlighted the tight and intimate familial bonds that are customary in Bulgaria’s culture.
